Drilled into sewer pipe, what to do?

Where wood is chopped, splinters must fall. It can also happen that you accidentally drill into your own sewer pipe. Don't panic because the damage can be repaired faster than you think.

What can you do?

A defect in a sewer pipe that has already been laid is comparatively minor damage that you can repair yourself with a little effort. Now determine the nominal size of the pipe and off to the hardware store.

What do you need for that?

  • Sleeve
  • Long socket
  • lubricant
  • Hacksaw, rasp

How do you proceed??

1. Saw out the defective piece the length of the long socket and bevel the pipe ends.
2. Push the sleeve onto the end of the pipe in the direction of flow.
3. Now push the long socket onto the end of the pipe
4th. Push the sleeve over the long sleeve - done!

Tips & Tricks You can use a lubricant to ensure that the sleeves slide easily over the pipes.
